Moving on.....
Well, it's time to post another update....
Sean and I recently came to the conclusion that our time here in California is coming to an end. We feel very strongly led that we are to plant a church - most likely in Eastern Oregon - in the Bend area. We are currently in process with our church, Coast Hills Community Church, as we move towards this goal. The leadership at Coast Hills is trying to ascertain what their support will be and if we are a good fit together for a church-planting venture. At the soonest, we could move to Bend (or whatever location we are led to) in the early spring. If we go through a training period it could be anywhere from a few months or even a year. We would dearly love your prayers regarding our future!
We are very excited about this new adventure but, of course, we also have some fears since we know little about church planting and the like. We do feel sadness at the thought of leaving so many good friends here in Southern California. We will miss the warm, sunny climate, the beach & surfing, and the progressive-minded culture here in the O.C.
On another topic, I wanted to update on my Aunt's condition with MRSA (from a previous blog). Both she and her husband have been declared MRSA free which is a real praise!!!

Two weeks old!!!!
Noelani just loves her and likes to "Give kisses? Give hugs?". She also asks, "Wanna hold dat baby?". She also enjoys helping change her diapers and clothes.
As a family we have made it out to a few parks for walks but haven't done too much else other than that. We did make it to church last week. Our church has a viewing room for parents so I took Keala in there for the service. Noe went to her class as usual.
Today we had a visit with Denise VanDewalker, a friend from Oregon. She recently returned from a year in Romania where she was working with children in orphanages. We had a great time visiting and Noe had fun playing with her as well.
On another note, my Auntie Leilani (my mom's sister) is in the hospital in Irvine with what seems to be a "flesh-eating" disease - possibly a MRSA - Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) is a type of bacteria that is resistant to certain antibiotics. She has been in hospital for nearly two weeks now. It is very serious so we would appreciate your prayers for her.
Caution: for those of you new to blogs ("blog" is short for: web log) don't click on the button in the top right of the page that says "Next Blog". What this means is that it will take you to the next person's blog and sometimes this can also lead to viruses, etc.
